Notre Dame Recruiting Week In Review: Jan. 29-Feb.5

This is the Notre Dame recruiting week in review, where we'll recap all the happenings from the past week in the world of Irish football recruiting.

We'll go over new offers, official and unofficial visitors and additional news and notes. The recap will be posted every Monday afternoon, and as we dive into the class of 2019, plenty of new offers and visitors should come about.

SIGNING DAY AWAITS

Notre Dame did not host any official visitors over the weekend, but the Irish are hard at work trying to close out the class of 2018.

Last week, we issued predictions on where we believed each of Notre Dame's remaining targets will land come Wednesday.

NEW OFFERS 

The 6-foot-2, 215 pounder also holds offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Duke, Syracuse, Wake Forest and others.

Okwonu is a familiar face to the Notre Dame staff after participating Irish Invasion this past summer. He returned to South Bend in the fall for a game visit watching the Irish take down USC 49-14 in late October.

According to MaxPreps, Ekwonu had 73 total tackles and two sacks this past season. He added 468 yards and 13 touchdowns on 59 carries as a running back.

The 6-foot-5, 261 pound Eboigbe also holds offers form Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, North Carolina State, South Carolina, Tennessee and several others.

The 6-3, 260-pounder also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU and South Carolina, among others.

Rivals ranks Fann Jr. as the No. 247 player nationally and No. 27 strongside defensive end.

The 6-3, 177-pound Greene also holds offers from NC State, Wake Forest, Duke, Appalachian State and East Carolina. NC State and Appalachian State, among others.

Per his Hudl, Greene caught 46 passes for 1,138 yards and 19 touchdowns. Greene also plays basketball for his high school.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Henrich also holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin and others.

Following his junior season, Henrich was named first team all-state by the USA Today.

According to his HUDL page, Henrich had 120 total tackles during his junior season, including 11 sacks and 32 tackles for a loss.

The 6-3, 215-pounder also has offers from Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Northwestern, Louisville, Texas Tech, Kansas, Princeton and Columbia, among others.

Rivals ranks Higgins as the No. 51 WR in the 2019 class.

The 6-0, 165-pounder also holds offers from Oklahoma State, Colorado, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Missouri and others.

Houston ranks as the No. 26 wide receiver and No. 144 player nationally.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound Liebrock also holds offers from Arizona State, Cal, Memphis, Nevada and Ohio State.

According to MaxPreps, Liebrock caught 39 passes for 600 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.

The 6-foot-5, 254-pounder also has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, LSU and Michigan, among others.

Rivals ranks him as the No. 39 player nationally and No. 4 strongside defensive end.

NEWS AND NOTES

***Notre sent four members of the coaching staff to California on Friday to meet with four-star OT Jarrett Patterson. With a National Signing Day decision coming, Patterson said the visit was crucial.

***Three-star WR Lawrence Keys took his final official visit to SMU this weekend. It still appears to be a two-team race between Notre Dame and Texas.

***Five-star offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere took his final official visit to Ohio State this weekend. He will announce his commitment on ESPNU at 10:00 a.m. eastern time on Wednesday.
