The Notre Dame just extended its second offer of the night, this one going to New Orleans McDonogh 35 High wide receiver Lawrence Keys.

Rivals rates Keys as the No. 16 player in Louisiana and the No. 70 wide receiver in the class of 2018.

The Louisiana talent currently holds offers from more than 20 schools, including Arizona State, Arkansas, Houston, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M.

Keys told BlueandGold.com he has been in communication with Irish offensive coordinator Chip Long and wide receivers coach DelVaughn Alexander in recent weeks.

“We’ve just been introducing ourselves and getting to know each other more,” Keys said of his talks with the coaching staff. “We’re building a relationship, and they were just letting me know about Notre Dame.”

Though he comes from a different part of the country, Keys said he’s been familiar with Notre Dame for a while.

“I’ve been looking at them for a minute already,” Keys said. “I think it’s wonderful up there.”
