Notre Dame Offers 2019 Rivals250 DE

Defensive end is a major priority for the Notre Dame staff in the 2019 class and a new name has emerged for Irish fans to know.

Notre Dame has extended an offer to Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's defensive end Howard Cross, according to the 6-foot-2, 240-pounder.

The Irish join the likes of Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, NC State, Northwestern, Tennessee and Virginia Tech, among others, on Cross' offer sheet.

Rivals ranks Cross as the No. 238 player nationally and the No. 26 strongside defensive end in the class. Defensive line coach Mike Elston extend the offer to Cross.

According to MaxPreps, Cross recorded 103 total tackles this past season including 10 for loss and 5.5 sacks.
