Lawrence Keys, a three-star wide receiver from New Orleans McDonogh, released a list of his top six schools Wednesday night and Notre Dame made the cut along with TCU, LSU, Houston, Nebraska and Auburn.

Keys picked up his offer from Notre Dame on Feb. 23, and has expressed significant interest in the Irish ever since.

Soon after Notre Dame offered, Keys' interest in Notre Dame shot up.

“I’m really interested in Notre Dame right now,” Keys told Blue and Gold Illustrated in March. “I don’t have a leader or a top list, but I’m really interested in them.”

Obviously that's changed now, and Keys is focused on the aforementioned schools. The Louisiana talent has not set an date for an official visit to Notre Dame, but knows he wants to make it happen.

“I’ve thought a lot about it,” Keys said. “A lot of people always tell me Notre Dame is a beautiful place to be. It’s wonderful out there and they have a great atmosphere, so that’s why I really want to get out there and check it out.”

Since being offered, Keys has been communicating with the Notre Dame coaching staff on a daily basis, his main contact being wide receivers coach DelVaughn Alexander.

Football analyst Bryan Driskell ranks Keys as the fifth receiver on BGI's Big Board and gives him a 4.5-star upside grade.

According to Driskell, Keys is a challenge for defensive backs and possesses some solid natural moves.

"It is obvious that Keys takes his craft seriously," Driskell said. He’s an advanced route runner that shows a very good feel for getting open. His loose hips, quick feet and burst help Keys explode out of his breaks, and his ability to make sudden double moves makes him very hard to guard. Opponents have a very hard time handling him at the line, and Keys is excellent at using body language to set up breaks. The McDonogh standout shows those same traits once he gets the ball in his hand, which makes him dangerous after the catch."
