Notre Dame Commits And Targets Game Preview

A look at where Notre Dame's commitments and top targets are playing this week as their 2017 regular seasons inch closer to completion with several in playoff battles.

Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep (7-2) vs. Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep (2-7) - Irish commits Jayson Ademilola,Justin Ademilola and Shayne Simon will face Don Bosco Prep for the second straight week in the first round of the NJSIAA State Playoffs.

Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local (11-0) vs. Spencerville (Ohio) High (9-2) - Offensive line commit John Dirksen and Marion Local will participate in the second round of the Ohio Division VI state playoffs.

Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline (10-0) vs. Stenvensville (Md.) Kent Island (9-2) - Ja'Mion Franklin and North Caroline will face Stevensville in the second round of the playoffs. North Caroline beat Stevensville 35-14 earlier this season.

Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland (11-0) vs. Wexford (Pa.) North Allegheny (8-2) – Pine-Richland and quarterback Phil Jurkovecwill try to move to 12-0 with another dominating win.

Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak (5-5) vs.Valencia (Calif.) High (9-1) - Linebacker Jack Lamb and Great Oak look to open up the state playoffs with a win.

Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren (9-2) vs. Hopskinsville (Ky.) Christian County (11-0) – Defensive tackle Jacob Laceyand South Warren move to the next round in their quest to capture a Class 5A state title.

Brentwood (Tenn.) High (10-1) vs. Nashville (Tenn.) Cane Ridge (10-1) - Brentwood and offensive tackle Cole Mabry are onto the second round of Class 6A state playoffs

Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch (10-0) at Reno (Nev.) McQueen (4-5) - Junior quarterback commit Cade McNamara and Damonte Ranch look to stay undefeated on the year with a first round playoff win.

Mishawaka (Ind.) Penn (10-1) vs. Crown Point (Ind.) High (7-4) - Safety commit Paul Moala and Penn will try to pick up a third round playoff win

Etiwanda (Calif.) High (3-7) at Downey (Calif.) High (8-2) – Wide receiver Geordon Porter and Etiwanda look to open up the playoffs with a win.

Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison (9-3) vs. Linden (Mich.) High (9-2) - Linebacker Ovie Oghoufo and Harrison aim to move on in Michigan Division III state playoffs.

Sanford (N.C.) Lee County (11-0) vs. Greensboro (N.C.) Ben L. Smith (5-6) – Lee County and running back Jahmir Smith look to open up the state playoffs with a win.

Indianapolis Cathedral (6-5) vs. Bloomington (Ind.) Bloomington South (7-5) -Indianapolis Cathedral and running back Markese Stepplook to move on to the next round of the Class 5A state playoffs.

North Fort Myers (Fla..) High (8-0) vs. Clearwater (Fla.) High (6-4) - Newest Irish commit Joseph Wilkins Jr. and North Fort Myers will look to stay unbeaten on the year with a first round playoff win.

NOTES: Kevin Austin, Derrik Allen and Micah Jones' seasons are over. Bo Bauer and Cathedral Prep played Thursday night and win 56-0 in a first-round playoff game.

Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson (8-2) vs. Washington (D.C.) Eastern (4-6) - Cornerback target Noah Boykin aims to lead his team to their eighth straight win.

Milpitas (Calif.) High (10-0) - Milpitas has a bye week before heading into playoff action

Medford (Ore.) South Medford (9-1) vs. Portland (Ore.) Lincoln (8-2) - South Medford and Notre Dame wide receiver target Chase Cota look to win their eighth straight game.

Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard (9-0) vs. Gainesville (Fla.) High (8-2) - Safety target Avonta Crim and Vanguard look to remain undefeated as they open up playoff action.

Atlanta Hapeville Charter (9-1) vs. Columbus (Ga.) (5-5) Spencer - Defensive end Kingsley Enagbare (South Carolina commit) and Hapeville Charter look to secure their ninth straight win as they open up playoff action.

Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy (9-1) vs. Lacey (Wash.) River Ridge (7-3) – Cornerback Kyler Gordon and Archbishop Murphy aim to move to 10-1 on the season as they open up playoff action.

Anaheim (Calif.) Servite (6-4) at Mission Viejo (Calif.) High (10-0) - Safety Julius Irvin and Servite look to take down undefeated Mission Viejo in the first round of the playoffs.

New Orleans McDonogh 35 (7-3) vs Minden (La.) High (65) - Wide receiver Lawrence Keys and McDonogh 35 will try to open up the playoffs with a win.

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei (10-0) vs. Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta (4-6) - Mater Dei and Irish targets — wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, guard Chris Murray and linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu— look to remain No. 1 as they open up the playoffs.
