“It’s a business, he had to do what he had to do. It was a business decision. He had to make a business decision.”

Though Justin didn’t participate in the game, he was there to support his twin brother and had this to say regarding Elko.

“He had to do what’s best for him, and I respect him for that. We had a good relationship, but everything is business now at this level, so I respect him for it. He’s a great guy, and nothing changes how I feel about him.”

“I wish the best for him, and I’m still sticking with the Irish. I had a great relationship with him. He’s a great guy and great defensive coordinator, and I hope the best for him.”

BGI was unable to track down Allen following the game on Saturday, but the future Notre Dame safety shared some thoughts in Twitter Thursday right after the news of Elko’s departure broke.
