Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak linebacker Jack Lamb became Notre Dame's 15th commitment Thursday, and the third in less than a week.

Lamb, the No. 4 inside linebacker in the class of 2018 and No. 97 overall player in the country, chose the Irish over UCLA, Penn State, Oregon, Washington and several others.

His pledge gives the Irish three players in the Rivals 1oo (Derrik Allen, No. 47, Phil Jurkovec, No. 69) and eight in the Rivals250.

In our new feature, Blue & Gold brings its readers all the important information in regards to Lamb in one spot. Below you will find statistics, BGI's film evaluation, story links and much more in regards to Notre Dame's newest commit.

BIO AND STATS

* Will play in the 2018 Under Armour All-American Game

OFFSEASON UPDATE

Lamb earned an invite to Nike Football's The Opening Finals following his performance at the Los Angeles Regional on March 12.

The Notre Dame commit was impressive in Oregon, helping lead his seven-on-seven team to the tournament championship.

BGI EVALUATION

"Adding Lamb to a class that already has Bauer and Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison athlete Ovie Oghoufo gives Notre Dame an outstanding trio of inside linebackers. Just as important is the fact they can play together, with Bauer projecting to the Mike position, Lamb projecting to both Mike and Buck, and Oghoufo projecting as both a Buck or a rover.

Lamb gives Notre Dame a player that shows excellent playmaking potential against the run and pass. He can impact the game playing in the box, he can impact the game in coverage and he can impact the game when he is turned loose on the quarterback. It’s one thing to have a solid, productive player in a defense. It’s quite another to have a playmaker, and that’s what Lamb can be with work.

Lamb is a very good prospect right now, but what really makes his pickup exciting for Notre Dame is that he has so much room to develop as a player. He’s not even close to maxing out as a player, and the more he grows into his frame and adds strength the more effective he will be."- BGI Football Analyst Bryan Driskell
