Four-Star Running Back Markese Stepp De-Commits From Notre Dame

Notre Dame got some bad news on Saturday.

Markese Stepp, a long-time Notre Dame commit and four-star running back from Indianapolis Cathedral, announced via Twitter that he has de-committed from Notre Dame and re-opened his recruitment.

Stepp committed to Notre Dame on June 19, 2016, and was a vocal recruiter for the Irish for a long time.

At running back, Notre Dame still has one commitment from Sanford (N.C.) Lee County three-star Jahmir Smith.

Stepp's de-commitment bumps Notre Dame's commitment number in the class of 2018 to 18.
