2017

Avery Davis — Cedar Hill (Texas) High

Last week: Returned to action after missing two games with a high ankle sprain and completed 22 of 36 passes for 272 yards with two touchdowns in a 33-18 loss versus Desoto (Texas) High (4-0), which was ranked No. 6 in the nation by USA Today.

This week: Cedar Hill (2-2) will be at home Sept. 30 to take on Duncanville (Texas) High (4-0).

2018

Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland

Last week: Scored from three yards out in the fourth quarter to give his team a 31-24 victory versus Bethel Park (Pa.) High (2-2). He connected on 6 of 15 throws for 96 yards, and had 101 rushing yards and the touchdown on 11 carries. For the season, he has thrown for 1,323 yards with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions while completing 60.3 percent of his passes. He also has 370 yards and six scores on 60 rushing attempts.

This week: Pine Richland (4-1) will be on the road Sept. 30 to face Pittsburgh Central Catholic (4-1) and fellow Notre Dame commits David Adams and Kurt Hinish.

2017

C.J. Holmes — Cheshire (Conn.) Academy

Last week: Scored two touchdowns in a 34-22 loss to Groton (Mass.) Lawrence Academy (1-0).

This week: Cheshire (0-2) will be at home Oct. 1 to face Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More (1-1).

2018

Markese Stepp — Indianapolis Cathedral

Last week: Remained sidelined due to a hamstring injury, but Cathedral won 40-16 on the road against Evensville (Tenn.) Rhea County (4-2).

This week: Cathedral (5-1) will be on the road Sept. 30 to face Fishers (Ind.) High (2-4).


Wide Receiver

2017

Jordan Pouncey — Winter Park (Fla.) High

Last week: Had nine carries for 78 yards, including a 58-yard run that set up Winter Park’s only touchdown, in a 35-7 defeat at Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva (3-2).

This week: Winter Park (3-2) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek (4-1).

Michael Young — Destrehan (La.) High

Last week: Destrehan notched a 31-28 win versus Boutte (La.) Hahnville (2-2).

This week: Destrehan (4-0) will be at home Sept. 30 to take on Houma (La.) Terrebonne (3-1).


Tight End

2017

Cole Kmet — Arlington Heights (Ill.) St. Viator

Last week: Had five catches for 26 yards and a tackle for loss in a 17-10 road victory against Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel (3-2).

This week: St. Viator (3-2) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central (3-2).

Brock Wright — Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair

Last week: Hauled in three receptions for 114 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown grab, in a 24-17 loss at Houston Cypress Ranch (4-0).

This week: Cy-Fair (2-2) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Houston Jersey Village (2-2).


Offensive Line

2017

Dillan Gibbons — Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic

Last week: Helped pave the way for 348 yards of total offense in a 25-21 loss on the road versus Tampa (Fla.) Catholic (1-2).

This week: Central Catholic (4-1) will be on the road Sept. 30 to face St. Petersburg (Fla.) Catholic (0-4).

Josh Lugg — Wexford (Pa.) North Allegheny

Last week: Part of an offensive line that cleared the way for touchdown runs of 28, 39 and 42 yards in a 49-7 win versus Butler (Pa.) High (1-3).

This week: North Allegheny (3-2) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Pittsburgh Mt. Lebanon (3-2).

Robert Hainsey — Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

Last week: IMG Academy, ranked No. 2 nationally by USA Today, racked up 348 yards of total offense in a 38-0 victory versus Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson (3-1).

This week: IMG Academy (5-0) has a bye.

Defensive Line

2017

Darnell Ewell — Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor

Last week: Part of a defense that surrendered 388 total yards in a 27-20 road win against Norfolk (Va.) Norview (3-2).

This week: Lake Taylor (3-1) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Norfolk (Va.) Granby (3-1).

Kurt Hinish — Pittsburgh Central Catholic

Last week: The Central Catholic defense pitched a shutout for three quarters en route to a 42-14 win against Harmony (Pa.) Seneca Valley (2-2).

This week: Central Catholic (4-1) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Pine Richland (4-1) and Irish quarterback commit Phil Jurkovec.

Donovan Jeter — Beaver Falls (Pa.) High

Last week: Beaver Falls notched a 45-14 win versus Alverton (Pa.) Southmoreland (0-4).

This week: Beaver Falls (3-1) will be on the road Sept. 30 to face New Brighton (Pa.) High (0-4).

Jonathon MacCollister — Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore

Last week: Had a bye.

This week: Bishop Moore (3-1) will be at home Sept. 30 to face Orlando (Fla.) South Lake (2-2).

Drew White — Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas

Last week: Notched a 42-0 victory at home over Hallandale (Fla.) High (2-2).

This week: St. Thomas Aquinas (3-1) will be on the road Sept. 30 to face the nation’s top prep team according to USA Today, Las Vegas Bishop Gorman (5-0), on ESPN.

Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep

Last week: Posted 62-0 road win versus Edinboro (Pa.) General McLane (3-2).

This week: Cathedral Prep (5-0) will be on the road Oct. 1 to face Buffalo (N.Y.) St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute Prep (2-2).

Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison (Mich.)

Last week: Caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in a 21-9 home loss to Rochester (Mich.) (4-1) High.
