Here is a rundown of Notre Dame’s undrafted free agents and where they will try and make a roster this season.

SCOTT DALY, LS, Chicago Bears

Daly, a four-year starter at long-snapper for Notre Dame, posted on Instagram Sunday that he’s “excited for the opportunity to become a Chicago Bear.”

The South Bend Tribune reported Sunday that Daly has not signed a deal with the Bears, but will have a tryout with the Chicago franchise.

Helping advise Daly in the NFL process has been 2005-07 Notre Dame long-snapper J.J. Jansen, who just completed his ninth season in the NFL. Jansen signed a four-year, $3.6 million deal in 2012 with the Carolina Panthers and then a five-year deal on Feb. 17, 2016 for an estimated $5.5 million.

Current Bears long-snapper Patrick Scales is a restricted free agent in 2018.

JARRON JONES, DL, New York Giants

Jones was the first Notre Dame player to sign an undrafted free agent deal.

Our writeup of that deal is HERE.

COLE LUKE, CB, Carolina Panthers

Luke peaked early in his Notre Dame career before having an up-and-down senior season in 2016. He played 51 games with the Irish, make 152 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and intercepting eight passes.

Luke faces an uphill battle to make the Panthers.

JAMES ONWUALU, LB, Los Angeles Chargers

Onwualu, a two-year starter at linebacker after beginning his career as a receiver, picked the Chargers over several other teams.

He appeared in various mock drafts as a late-round pick, but now has an opportunity to make a very young Los Angeles linebacker corps.

OTHERS

• Running back Tarean Folston, who elected to enter the NFL Draft with one season of college eligibility remaining, was not selected in the seven-round draft, nor was he added as an undrafted free agent as of Sunday afternoon.

According to Eric Galko of the Sporting News, Folston was one of 104 players to declare early for the NFL. Sixty-five of those players were drafted in the first five rounds, while 28 went undrafted.

• Safety Avery Sebastian and tight end Chase Hounshell — who spent his final season of college eligibility last season at Ohio State — were not selected, nor have they signed as undrafted free agents or received a tryout with a team.
