Justin Brent’s Notre Dame career has come to an end.

According to multiple reports, the 6-2, 220-pound junior running back plans to transfer from the Irish football program.

Brent, a Speedway, Ind., native, played in nine games as a freshman in 2014. He never had a catch, carry or tackle during his career. He did not play in 2015 (redshirt) or 2016 (foot injury).

Brent was rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 84 ovreall player in the class of 2014 by Rivals. His departure leaves Notre Dame with juniors Josh Adams and Dexter Williams, sophomores Tony Jones Jr. and Deon McIntosh, and freshman C.J. Holmes at running back in 2017.
