Notre Dame’s Summer Camps Have Been Cancelled

Notre Dame will not hold summer football camps this year.

The school announced Monday it has canceled all summer camps, which include Irish Invasion and the Lineman’s Challenge.

“The Notre Dame Summer Sports Camps will begin processing tuition refunds shortly for football camps,” the program’s statement read. “Due to the high volume of registrations, this process could take up to three weeks. Once the refund is processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Active Camps & Class Manager. Following the receipt of that email, your refund should be reflected on your credit card statement in three to five business days.”

Anyone with further questions is encouraged to contact the Summer Sports Camps office at ndcamps@nd.edu.

Irish Invasion was set for June 6 and The Lineman’s Challenge was scheduled for June 13. Notre Dame's QB Academy, Sunday Night Football, Youth Camp, Seven-On-Seven Passing Camp, Overnight Camp and Kicking Camp were the other camps cancelled.

Summer recruiting events are important for Notre Dame to evaluate prospects in person.

As of now, Notre Dame is still planning to host two official visit weekends in mid-June, but those are also up in the air due to the spread of COVID-19.

Notre Dame has five commits on offense: quarterback Tyler Buchner, wide receiver Lorenzo Styles, tight end Cane Berrong, and offensive linemen Blake Fisher and Pat Coogan.

Linemen Gabriel Rubio and David Abiara, plus safety Justin Walters are on Notre Dame’s defensive commitment list in the 2021 class.
