Adding pass rushers is a top goal for the Irish staff to complete with the 2018 class.

The current defensive line class of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep twins Jayson Ademilola and Justin Ademilola is a good start for the defensive line as a whole, but the class is still searching for a 'pass rusher' to complete it. Enter players who could potentially fill that need like Midwest City (Okla.) three-star talent Jalen Redmond.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Redmond received an offer from Notre Dame this afternoon adding the Irish to his list which also includes Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, TCU, Arizona State and Kansas State, among others.

Redmond is ranked as the No. 26 weakside defensive end in the class and the No. 11 player in Oklahoma.

The three-star is the ninth player designated as a "weakside defensive end" Notre Dame has offered this cycle so far. He is also the second player from Oklahoma to earn an Irish offer following strongside defensive end Ron Tatum of Oklahoma City (Okla.) Putnam City.
