Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has offered one of the top players in all of the 2019 class — Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian product Chris Hinton.

The 6-5, 265-pounder was ranked as a five-star talent in the first release of Rivals’ top players in the current sophomore class.

Notre Dame hosted the talented sophomore and his younger brother, Myles Hinton, this past weekend. The older Hinton holds offers from Stanford, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, LSU, Auburn and Northwestern, among others. Myles, who is a 2020 prospect, holds offers from Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee.

The sophomore possesses the ability to play either side of the ball on the next level. He spent most of his time at Notre Dame with defensive coordinator Mike Elko and defensive line coach Mike Elston.

Hinton is the son of former seven-time NFL Pro Bowler Chris Hinton, who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 1983 draft. Both of Hinton’s parents went to Northwestern, and his mom also attended Notre Dame Law School.

During his sophomore season, Hinton recorded 70 tackles, according to MaxPreps, while helping Greater Atlanta Christian to a Class AAA state championship game appearance.
