Nuggets From The Road: 2021 WR Deion Colzie
*** Last Sepmtember, I made the drive from Atlanta to Athens to see wide receiver Deion Colzie in action, knowing he was a huge Notre Dame target and a strong Irish lean. There was some déjà vu when I made another trip out to Athens this past Friday to see Colzie play. A ton has happened between Colzie in Notre Dame in the past year, but the situation remains the same – Colzie is a huge Notre Dame target, and based on everything I’m hearing, he’s still a strong Irish lean, despite him committing to Brian Kelly’s program last October and then decommitting in March.
*** Colzie on what is most important to him in choosing a program ahead of his Sept. 28 decision date: “It definitely comes down to the school itself – academically. Football doesn’t last forever. I want a school where a degree from there would be hold a lot of weight. Also, a family atmosphere where I can feel at home and feel comfortable, and somewhere that my family is comfortable with. That’s the best place for me.”
