Like many freshmen, Notre Dame tight end Cole Kmet had to adjust mentally upon his arrival.

Though it seems to becoming a little more common, younger players typically do not walking the door ready from day one at major college programs. The change of going from ‘the guy’ in high school to just another player can be challenging for any player.

Kmet was no different. He caught just two passes for 14 yards in 2017.
