Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy wide receiver Michael Redding is one of the most coveted prospects at his position in the country. Big time programs from across the nation have been pursuing him for the past several months.
Notre Dame didn’t offer the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder until late-February, but they instantly put themselves among his top schools. It helps the Irish that they have shown interest in him for quite some time.
“We’ve been having a good relationship,” Redding said of the Irish coaches. “I’ve been talking to them for a while. Once they offered, the relationship was already strong. I’ve been building a good relationship with the coaches.”
Redding confirmed that he’s still set to visit Notre Dame for an unofficial visit on March 28. It will be his first time up to South Bend.
“I’m trying to get around the players, see the tradition, and the coaches,” he said. “[I want to] get to know the coaches a little bit more – build a relationship with the players and coaches.”
