Notre Dame has an outstanding offensive line class committed in the class of 2019 currently, and will look to continue that trend in the class of 2020.

One of the top early targets along the offensive line in 2020 for the Irish is Turner Corcoran, a four-star Rivals100 offensive tackle from Lawrence (Kans.) Free State.

Corcoran, the No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 87 overall player in the class of 2019, said he’s high on Notre Dame heading into his junior year.

“I was ecstatic when I got that offer,” Corcoran told Blue & Gold Illustrated. “That was huge, coming from Notre Dame.”

The Kansas talent said he’s well aware of the tradition at Notre Dame, specifically along the offensive line.

“Football is the main focus at the university,” Corcoran said. “The Notre Dame offensive line just won the Joe Moore Award, and I thought that was really cool.”

So far, Corcoran has spoken mainly with offensive line coach Jeff Quinn.

Quinn, Corcoran said, has made a strong impression on him early.

“He’s a great guy,” Corcoran said. “He gave me some pointers on some situations and told me some drills to work through.”

Though he hasn’t made it to South Bend for a visit yet, Corcoran said he’s hopeful he can make it happen soon.

“I’d like to go up for a game there,” Corcoran said. “It would have to time up perfectly with everything else going on.”

Corcoran said he wants to see a game in Notre Dame stadium because he’s heard so much about the experience, but wants to see it for himself.

“They’ve got some of the best fans in the nation,” Corcoran said. “Going to a game there and talking to some of the players there would be great.”

Corcoran said he’d also like the opportunity to pick the brains of the four current 2019 offensive line commits.

“They’ve got a stacked 2019 class,” Corcoran explained. “I’d like to sit down with them and talk about why they committed.”

Heading into his junior season, Corcoran holds several offers, including Clemson, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Tennessee,, Nebraska, Wisconsin and several others.
