For the fourth straight season, Notre Dame has kicked off its recruiting class with one of the nation’s premier quarterbacks. San Diego (Calif.) The Bishop’s School standout Tyler Buchner is the latest heavily recruited quarterback to kick off his recruiting class, with Buchner starting off the 2021 class.
Three visits to South Bend in a three months sealed the deal for Buchner, who has already made over thirty college visits despite being just a sophomore in high school.
“There were a couple major factors that made the decision easy,” Buchner said of his decision to make such an early decision. “One, I don’t think there’s any other place in the country where you can compete for a national championship and get a [great] college education like Notre Dame.
“Just from talking to students and players and coaches and faculty you really learn that place is special,” continued the talented quarterback. “People that go to Notre Dame really love it.”
