New Canaan (Conn.) quarterback and Notre Dame commit Drew Pyne last visited South Bend for the Fighting Irish's game against Vanderbilt last September, so it was important for him to get back on campus.

Pyne returned to Notre Dame this past weekend for an unofficial visit, and he had a great time.

"It was awesome," Pyne said. "I talk to all of the coaches a lot, so seeing them in person was cool. There weren't really any new topics just because we communicate all of the time, which was good. It's just awesome being on campus."

Pyne landed his first scholarship offer way back in March of 2016 from South Alabama; it's safe to say that he's familiar with the recruiting process -- visiting schools, watching college practices, talking to coaches, the whole nine yards.
