Driphus Jackson threw for 337 yards and four touchdowns but it wasn’t enough as Louisiana Tech’s offense exploded for 76 points in the rout.
Tech quarterback Cody Sokol threw for 387 yards and four scores and Kenneth Dixon rushed for a game-high 137 yards in the win. The Tech defense also scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery and picked off Jackson three times.
Five of Louisiana Tech’s touchdowns covered 30 yards or more.
Michigan (5-7): L 42-28

Michigan was in position to upset their arch rivals, especially after Ohio State starting quarterback JT Barrett went down with a leg injury in the third quarter, but the Buckeyes pulled away late in the game.
Ohio State jumped out to an early lead when the Buckeyes picked off a Devin Gardner pass at the Michigan 41. Michigan would tie the game on a 12-yard pass from Gardner to Jake Butt and the Wolverines took a 14-7 lead on Drake Johnson’s 2-yard touchdown that capped a 15-play, 95-yard drive.
The Buckeyes drove 83 yards in just over two minutes to tie the game at halftime and opened the third quarter with a scoring drive to regain the lead at 21-14.
Johnson scored on a 4-yard run to tie it one play after throwing an 18-yard pass to Gardner on a trick play.
Leading 28-21, Ohio State suffered a key loss when Barrett suffered a leg injury but his replacement, Cardale Jones, led the Buckeyes to two scores to close out the game.
Gardner completed 22-of-32 passes for 233 yards and Johnson, who was injured in the third quarter, finished the game with 74 yards on 15 carries.
The Wolverines failed to earn bowl eligibility and head coach Brady Hoke’s future remains very much in doubt.
Purdue (3-9): L 23-16 to Indiana

Indiana overcame a 13-3 third quarter deficit to win the Old Oaken Bucket for the second straight season.
Led by Akeem Hunt, who ran for a career-high 171 yards, the Boilermakers were in control of the game until Griffin Oakes booted a 41-yared field and Shane Wynn scored on a 41-yard run to tie it with 2:25 left in the third quarter.
The teams traded field goals in the fourth quarter and Indiana quarterback Zander Diamont scored on a 1-yard run with 27 seconds left in the game to snap the Hoosiers’ six-game losing streak.
Head coach Darrell Hazell is now 4-20 in two seasons at Purdue.
Syracuse (3-9): L 28-7 to Boston College

Boston College scored 21 unanswered points to end Syracuse’s season on Saturday.
The Eagles returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown but Syracuse responded with a 6-play, 43-yard drive capped by A.J. Long’s 4-yard touchdown run to tie it. Boston College then scored a touchdown in each of the final three quarters to win it.
Long completed just 7-of-18 passes for 59 yards and Prince-Tyson Gulley carried six times for a team-high 28 yards.
Stanford (7-5): W 31-10 over UCLA

Stanford scored 24 straight points to spoil UCLA’s hopes of playing in the PAC-12 championship game and extended its winning streak over the Bruins to seven straight in the 86-game series.
Kevin Hogan completed 16-of-19 passes for 234 yards and two scores to become the first Stanford quarterback to beat UCLA four times in his career.
Stanford’s defense held UCLA to just 262 yards of offense and recorded five sacks in the game.
North Carolina (6-6): L 35-7 to NC State

North Carolina’s offense was a rivalry week casualty as NC State’s defense limited the Tar Heels to just 207 total yards. The Tar Heels were held scoreless until the final two minutes of the game.
UNC quarterback Marquise Williams left the game with an injury early in the second half, which didn’t help matters. He completed just 11-of-22 passes for 97 yards with one interception and he was sacked three times. Mitch Trubisky was just 6-for-13 for 80 yards with a touchdown and interception in relief.
NC State quarterback Jacoby Brissett ran for a career-high 167 yards and three of his nine completions went for touchdowns. Shadrach Thornton added 161 yards on the ground.
Florida State (12-0): W 24-19 over Florida

Will Muschamp’s tenure at Florida ended with another near miss.
The Gators picked off FSU quarterback Jameis Winston four times in the game. Three of the picks led to first quarter field goals, which kept the Seminoles in the game.
Terrance Smith then picked off Florida quarterback Treon Harris and returned it 94 yards for a touchdown to cut the Florida lead to 9-7.
Winston threw two second quarter touchdown passes to put the Seminoles on top for good. Winston finished the game just 12-of-24 for a career low 125 yards.
Freshman Dalvin Cook posted career highs with 24 carries and 144 rushing yards.
The win was the 28th straight for the Seminoles.
Navy (6-5): W 42-40 over South Alabama

South Alabama scored 20 fourth quarter points and scored what could have been the game-tying touchdown with 39 seconds remaining in the game. The Jaguars had two two-point conversions wiped out by penalty and Navy picked off the third try to end the game.
The win was a school-record tying 55th for Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo, who accepted a bid to the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl moments after the game.
Keenan Reynolds rushed for a team-high 119 yards and three touchdowns in the game. His second score set a new NCAA record for touchdown runs by a quarterback (60) and his third set a new NCAA record for most games with three or more rushing touchdowns (12).
Arizona State (9-3): L 42-35 to Arizona

After filling in for the injured Taylor Kelly earlier this season, Mike Bercovici stepped in for Kelly in the fourth quarter on Saturday to try to rally the Sun Devils to a win over Arizona in the annual Territorial Cup game.
Bercovici completed 14-of-22 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns but his interception led to an Arizona touchdown and the Wildcats held off the Sun Devils and earned a spot in the PAC-12 championship game.
Bercovici led the Sun Devils to a touchdown on his first drive but threw an interception in the second series and Arizona scored two plays later.
Arizona also scored after recovering an Arizona State fumble earlier in the game.
Northwestern (5-7) L 47-33 to Illinois

The injury bug likely cost Northwestern a bowl game.
Starting quarterback Trevor Siemian missed the regular season finale and six Wildcats made their first career starts in place of other injured players. That group included quarterback Zack Oliver, who finished 22-of-38 passing for 221 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions, cornerbacks Kyle Queiro and Jarrell Williams, wide receiver Mike McHugh, converted linebacker Jimmy Hall, who started at safety, and offensive lineman Adam DePietro.
Freshman Justin Jackson rushed for 130 yards and two scores and Oliver nearly brought the Wildcats back but his third interception was returned 49 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach.
Northwestern also fumbled the ball away twice and allowed an 89-yard kickoff return for touchdown.
Louisville (9-3): W 44-40 over Kentucky

A pregame scuffle between rival programs carried over to the game as both teams took turns pounding each other. When the dust had settled, Gerod Holliman’s NCAA record-tying 14th interception with 35 seconds left in the game sealed Louisville’s ninth win of the season.
Brandon Radcliff’s 4-yard run two minutes earlier put the Cardinals up in a game that saw eight lead changes.
Radcliff rushed for just 67 yards on 21 carries but he scored twice. Reggie Bonnafon started the game for Louisville but was injured in the second quarter after completing just 1-of-4 passes for eight yards.
Redshirt freshman Kyle Bolin replaced Bonnafon and completed 21-of-31 passes for 381 yards and three scores, all to DeVante Parker, who finished the game with 180 receiving yards.
USC (8-4): W 49-14 over Notre Dame

Notre Dame’s midseason collapse finally came to a close in the Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
Southern Cal denied the Irish any chance of ending their losing streak and with its dominating performance on both sides of the ball left Notre Dame with more questions than answers and an even longer list of injured personnel.
USC quarterback Cody Kessler completed 32-of-40 passes for 372 yards and threw six touchdowns to five different receivers. Nelson Agholor was Kessler’s favorite target as he caught 12 balls for 120 yards and a score.
Javorious Allen rushed for a team-high 93 yards on 19 carries and Justin Davis also carried 19 times for 81 yards and a score.
Malik Zaire replaced Notre Dame starting quarterback Everett Golson with the Irish trailing 35-0. He completed 9-of-20 passes for 170 yards and he rushed for 18 yards on six carries.
