COMMITMENTS

The Skinny: Simon committed to Notre Dame on Tuesday over Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, Penn State and several other options.

Simon had been considered a Notre Dame lean for a long time, even more so after visiting in June for the Irish Invasion.

The long-time No. 1 target at the rover position, Simon is one of eight Irish commits in the Rivals250.

You can catch up on Blue and Gold Illustrated's extensive coverage of Simon's decision with our commitment wrap-up HERE.

The Skinny: Lamb announced for the Irish on Thursday, picking Notre Dame over a top five of UCLA, Penn State, Washington and Oregon.

Lamb visited South Bend on June 23, and the Irish checked all the boxes for both he and his family.

UCLA was thought to have a slight edge for a time, but in the end the opportunities Notre Dame presented were too much for Lamb to pass up.

Lamb's commitment gives Notre Dame three pledges in the Rivals100 along with safety Derrik Allen (N0.47) and quarterback Phil Jurkovec (No. 69)

You can find all of BGI's coverage of Lambs' decision in our commitment wrap-up HERE.

The Skinny: Lacey's commitment should have come as no surprise to BGI subscribers.

Lacey was long thought to be a Notre Dame lean, and his eventual commitment seemed inevitable.

The four-star announced his decision on Saturday, just five days after announcing a top six consisting of Notre Dame, Michigan, Clemson, Louisville, Tennessee and Michigan State.

Lacey's commitment gives Notre Dame its second commitment in the class of 2019 joining Reno (Nevada) Damonte Ranch quarterback Cade McNamara.

If you missed any of BGI's coverage of Lacey's commitment, you find it all in our commitment wrap-up HERE.

NEW OFFERS

The Skinny: Notre Dame offered Cine on Friday, and come to find out the four-star safety was on campus at the time.

Everett, where Cine currently resides, is the hometown of Brian Kelly, so they had an instant connection.

Cine also noted that DC Mike Elko mentioned both safety and rover to him in regards to where he may play if he were to choose the Irish. Cine plans to return to South Bend this fall for a game. He doesn't have any leaders in his recruitment, but said he would like to decide sometime after his junior season.

Driskell and McKinney did the same for Lamb's commitment, which can be listened to below.
