Notre Dame Recruiting Road Trip Wrap-Up, Day Six

Tuesday was day six of Blue & Gold Illustrated’s recruiting road trip through Florida, and it was loaded with content.

Visits to Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage and Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast produced several content items for BGI subscribers, and links to all of them can be found right here on this page.

The first visit of the day was to Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast to meet with three-star tight end George Takacs.

Takscs has Notre Dame in his top four along with Wisconsin, Florida and Georgia, and will visit South Bend later this month. You can read insider notes from the visit with Takacs right HERE.

In a video interview, Takacs talked about what he likes about Notre Dame, and what he s hoping to see when he returns to campus for a visit. Check out the full interview in the video below.

Takacs, an invitee to The Opening finals, said he wasn’t always the standout football player he is today. But after countless hours in the weight room, he got where he needed to be. Read about his journey to college football HERE.

The second visit of the day was to Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage to meet with three-star wide receiver Anthony Schwartz and four-star outside linebacker/defensive end Andrew Chatfield.

Schwartz has Notre Dame in his top group, and both he and Chatfield hope to visit this spring. You can read some VIP nuggets from the visit HERE.

An elite speedster, Schwartz hopes to run track in college, but wants people to know that speed is not all he has to offer as a receiver. Read about that HERE.
