Attending Notre Dame's junior day was the right call for Cole Mabry, a three-star offensive tackle out of Brentwood (Tenn.) High.

Mabry landed a Notre Dame offer Saturday evening after spending the day touring campus.

Mabry, the No. 19 player in the state of Tennessee, told BGI this week that he's been communicating with offensive coordinator Chip Long in recent weeks, and the two have a prior relationship from Long's tenure at Memphis.

"I think he's a great guy," Mabry said of Long prior to the visit. "The offense he runs is kind of fast-paced, and I like that. That's one of the things I do like, that fast-paced offense he runs."

Mabry comes from a Brentwood program that went 9-5 in 2016 and advanced to the semifinals of the the Tennessee Division I Class 5a Playoffs.

Following the season, Mabry was named to the Region 7-5A All-District team.

Mabry currently holds offers from Cincinnati, Colorado State, Indiana and Memphis.

On Friday, Mabry visited Purdue, and will also visit Indiana on Sunday.
