Notre Dame joined an impressive early offer list Monday evening for Independence (Missouri) William Chrisman Senior product Daniel Carson.

Notre Dame will look to add at least a couple additional defensive linemen to its current 2018 haul of Jayson Ademilola and Justin Ademilola out of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep.

A good defensive line class in 2018 will go a long way in Notre Dame's depth and talent in the front four after following the 2017 class of Darnell Ewell, Kofi Wardlow, Jonathon MacCollister and Kurt Hinish.

Almost 20 defensive linemen across the country have received an offer from the Irish staff with the latest being Independence (Missouri) William Chrisman Senior product Daniel Carson.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder also holds offers from Oklahoma, Ohio State, Georgia, Nebraska, Missouri and Minnesota, among others. He is ranked as the No. 17 strongside defensive end in the class and the No. 6 player in Missouri.

During his junior campaign, Carson racked up 56 tackles including 11 for loss and 13 sacks in 10 games, according to MaxPreps.

Carson has taken visits to Iowa State and Missouri in the past two weeks. He is the second player from Missouri Notre Dame has offered this cycle with the first going to St. Louis Christian Brothers College High Rivals100 wide receiver Kamryn Babb.
