Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Indianapolis Lawrence Central outside linebacker Cam McGrone.

The 6-foot-1, 214-pounder has been on Notre Dame's radar for some time and the Irish have now entered the mix for the Rivals250 talent. McGrone adds the Irish to an offer list which includes Wisconsin, Nebraska, Northwestern, Tennessee, Louisville, Iowa, Vanderbilt and others.

McGrone took a visit to Notre Dame April 9 and plans to return for Irish Invasion next month. He also made it to South Bend for the Stanford game this previous fall.

McGrone competed at Nike Football's The Opening Regional Oakland this past Sunday while on the West Coast and recorded a 4.67 40-yard dash and a 35-inch vertical during the event showing he has bounced back from the injury.

McGrone ranks as the No. 16 OLB and the No. 249 player nationally.
