Notre Dame Offers BYU LB Commit Brandon Kaho

Notre Dame continued its string of West Coast offers Tuesday evening with Reno (Nev.) three-star linebacker Brandon Kaho being the latest recipient.

Kaho is the sixth player from the West Coast to receive an offer from the Irish in just over a week joining Utah offensive lineman Penei Sewell and defensive end Abdul-Malik McClain, defensive tackle Tuli Letuligasenoa, defensive back Julius Irvin and wide receiver Isaah Crocker, all from California.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Kaho has been committed to BYU since last April and also holds offers from Stanford, UCLA, Oregon, Washington and Washington State. All of those offers have come since Dec. 15.

Kaho did it all for his Reno team as a junior playing running back, linebacker and punter. As a running back, Kaho racked up 1,187 yards and 21 touchdowns and he added 69 tackles, four sacks and two interceptions on defense, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

For his efforts this past season, Kaho took home Class 4A high Desert League and Northern Region Player of the Year honors. He also made the All-Northern Region first-team as a running back, linebacker and punter.

The next step for the Irish staff will be to get Kaho on campus. He is the third player from Nevada to receive an offer from Notre Dame in the 2018 class following four-star linebacker Palaie Gaoteote and three-star defensive end Elijah Wade.
