On Thursday, Notre Dame threw out multiple offers throughout the 2018-20 classes, including to Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman 2019 wide receiver Trey Knox.
For the second straight day, the Irish staff expanded the 2019 wide receiver board with a prospect from the Volunteer State.
Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Thompson’s Station (Tenn.) Independence junior wide receiver TJ Sheffield.
The 5-10, 165-pounder also holds offers from Ole Miss, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, among others.
Sheffield, who has communicated with wide receivers coach Del Alexander in the past, is ranked as the No. 45 wide receiver in the 2019 class by Rivals.
Per MaxPreps, Sheffield caught 56 passes for 840 yards and five touchdowns during his junior campaign. According to his Hudl page, he boasts a 10.95 time in the 100-meter dash.
