The Irish continue to expand the board at defensive end in the 2019 class.
Per his Twitter, Notre Dame has extended an offer to 2019 defensive Josiah Miamen of Dunlap (Ill.) High during his visit to South Bend today.
New Jersey products Howard Cross III and Aeneas DiCosmo added Irish offers earlier this week.
The 6-4, 220-pounder is ranked as a three-star tight end prospect by Rivals, but Notre Dame likes him at defensive end. Miamen has been communicating with defensive line coach Mike Elston and quarterbacks coach Tom Rees over the past month or so.
Illinois, Northwestern and Princeton are among the other offers for Miamen. The junior helped lead Dunlap to an appearance in the Class 5A state title game this past season.
Stay tuned to Blue & Gold Illustrated for more information on Miamen following the visit and offer.
