As a sophomore, Phoenix Pinnacle quarterback Spencer Rattler threw for 2,900 yards and 30 touchdowns.

Notre Dame is currently set at quarterback in the 2018 class with a commitment from Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine Richland four-star Phil Jurkovec, who was the first commit in the class for the Irish.

The top target in 2019 is Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei five-star JT Daniels. While most of the focus has been set on Daniels, the Irish expanded the board today with two new offers out to 2019 quarterbacks.

Pinson (Ala.) Valley four-star Bo Nix was the first quarterback to earn an offer from Notre Dame after Daniels. But, it didn’t stop there.

Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle four-star Spencer Rattler announced an Irish offer via Twitter Tuesday evening.

Rattler is listed at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds on his Hudl profile. It also lists Rattler threw for 2,900 yards and 30 touchdowns last season as a sophomore. Rattler also runs a 4.7 40-yard dash per Hudl.

Along with Notre Dame, Rattler also holds offers from Alabama, Miami (Fla.), Oklahoma, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and UCLA, among others.

Notre Dame is of course looking to bring in a talented signal caller to follow Jurkovec and the staff now has multiple targets to work from.
