Notre Dame Offers 2018 Virginia Cornerback Commit

Notre Dame got on the cornerback board Nov. 6, adding North Fort Myers (Fla.) High product Joseph Wilkins Jr. to its 2018 class.

After landing zero cornerbacks in the 2017 class, Notre Dame is aiming to add multiple players at that position during this cycle and expanded the board today.

Per his Twitter account, Notre Dame has extended an offer to Washington (D.C.) St. John’s cornerback and current Virginia commit DJ Brown.

The 6-1, 180-pounder committed to Virginia over the summer and holds offers from Arizona, Boston College, Missouri, Navy and Vanderbilt, among others.

Brown is a player Blue & Gold Illustrated posted about last month (can be FOUND HERE) after defensive line coach Mike Elston stopped by the school.

Though an unranked three-star, Brown is committed to play in the Under Armour All-America Game this upcoming January.

St. John’s is the home of Notre Dame freshman defensive end and 2017 signee Kofi Wardlow.

Brown, who is ranked as the No. 13 player in the D.C. area by Rivals, will be a name to watch moving forward to see if he winds up visiting South Bend. Stay locked to BGI for additional updates on Brown.
