Notre Dame Commits And Targets Game Preview
Here's a look at where Notre Dame commits and targets will be playing over the next two days (Friday-Saturday).
NOTRE DAME COMMITS
Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep (1-1) vs West Orange (N.J.) Seton Hall Prep (0-2) - Irish commits Jayson Ademilola, Justin Ademilola and Shayne Simon will look to move to 2-1 on the year against a winless West Orange team.
Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep (2-0) vs West Palm Beach (Fla.) King's Academy (2-) - Wide receiver commit Kevin Austin and North Broward Prep will be back in action after having their last two games cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.
Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep (4-0) vs. Edinboro (Pa.) General McLane (1-3) - linebacker commit Matthew Bauerand his Cathedral Prep team will look to stay perfect on the year.
Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local (4-0) at Versailles (Ohio) High (1-3) - Offensive lineman commit John Dirksen and his Marion Local team will try to remain undefeated.
Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline (5-0) at Centreville (Md.) Queen Anne's County (2-1)- North Caroline and defensive tackle commit Ja’Mion Franklinwill look to continue their early season success against a Queen Anne's County team that finished 2016 with a 9-2 record
Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township (3-1) at Lake Zurich (Ill.) High (4-0) - Irish wide receiver commit Micah Jones and Warren Township will look to push their winning streak to three games against an undefeated Lake Zurich team.
Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland (4-0) vs. Bethel Park (Pa.) High (3-0) - Quarterback commit Phil Jurkovec will look to keep his strong senior season going against an undefeated Bethel Park team.
Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren (5-0) vs. Glasgow (Ky.) Barren County (0-5) - Junior defensive tackle Jacob Lacey and South Warren will look to stay unbeaten on the 2017 season against a Barren County team that has yet to win a game this year.
Brentwood (Tenn.) High (4-1) vs Nolensville (Tenn.) High (1-4) - Notre Dame offensive tackle commit Cole Mabry and Brentwood will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season against a struggling Nolensville team.
Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch (4-0) vs. Reno (Nev.) McQueen (2-1) - Notre Dame’s 2019 quarterback commit Cade McNamaraand Damonte Ranch look to stay unbeaten on the year against a McQueen team that that finished at 3-7 in 2016.
Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison (3-1) vs Beverly Hills (Mich.) Groves - Linebacker commit Ovie Oghoufo and Harrison will look to move to 4-1 0n the year against a Groves team that went 11-2 in 2016.
Sanford (N.C.) Lee County (5-0) - Running back Jahmir Smith and Lee County have a bye.
Indianapolis Cathedral (1-4) vs. Jeffersonville (Ind.) High (2-3) - Running back commit Markese Stepp and the Cathedral Fighting Irish will look to pick up their second win of the season against in-state Jeffersonville.
Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast (2-0) vs. Estero (Fla.) High (1-0) - Tight end commit George Takacs and Gulf Coast will return to action after the last two games were cancelled due to Hurricane Irma.
NOTRE DAME TARGETS
Baltimore Gilman (1-3) at Baltimore Mount St. Joseph (3-1) - Gilman and defensive end target Thomas Booker will try to get win back-to-back games.
Milpitas (Calif.) High (4-0) vs. Saratoga (Calif.) High (0-4) - Cornerback target Tariq Bracy and Milpitas will attempt to move to 5-0 against a winless Saratoga team.
Loganville (Ga.) High (0-4) at Walnut Grove (Ga.) High (1-3) - Cornerback target Donte Burton and Loganville look to pick up their first win of the season against a Walnut Grove team that posted a 4-7 record in 2016.
Detroit Cass Tech (2-1) vs. Detroit Northwestern (0-4) - Cornerback target Kalon Gervin and Cass Tech will hope to move to 3-1 against a winless Northwestern team.
Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy (2-0) vs. Miami Central (3-0) - Cornerback target Houston Griffith and USA Today's No. 2 team IMG will square off against the nation's No. 5 team Miami Central.
Anaheim (Calif.) Servite (4-0) at Los Angeles Garfield (1-3) - Safety target Julius Irvin and servite will look to keep up their winning ways against a struggling Garfield team.
New Orleans McDonogh 35 (3-1) vs. Cox (La.) Harvey (2-3) - Irish wide receiver target Lawrence Keys and McDonogh look to continue their hot streak after a 29-0 win last week.
San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian (2-1) vs. Mountain View (Calif) Saint Francis (2-1) - Safety target D'Angelo McKenzie and Valley Christian look to move to 3-1 on the season.
Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei (4-0) vs. Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary's (3-2) - Offensive line target Chris Murray and No. 1 ranked Mater Dei, per USA Today, rolled last weekend against East Coast power Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic and looks to do the same against St. Mary's.
Etiwanda (Calif.) High (1-3) vs. Corona (Calif.) Santiago (3-1) – Wide receiver target Geordon Porter and Etiwanda will look to get back on track after three straight losses.
Atlanta Pace (1-3) at Stone Mountain (Ga.) Redan (1-3) - Five-star guard target Jamaree Salyer and Pace Academy look to get back-to-back wins.
Salt Lake City East (4-1) at West Herriman (Utah) Herriman (1-4) - Offensive guard target Sam Taimani and East look to move 5-1 on the season.
