Class of 2018

• S Derrik Allen — Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter

Last Week: Allen recorded seven tackles, a touchdown reception and a 60-yard punt return in a 42-6 win over Marietta (Ga.) Pope (0-1).

Up Next: Lassiter (2-0) will be at home this week against Marietta (Ga.) Kell (0-1).

• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep

Last Week: Austin hauled in a touchdown in North Broward Prep’s 57-0 season-opening win over Pembroke Pines (Fla.) High (0-1).

Up Next: North Broward Prep (1-0) will be at home next week, taking on Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) The Benjamin School (1-0).

• LB Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep

Last Week: Bauer recorded eight tackles and two sacks, according to GoErie.com, in a 40-7 win over Pittsburgh Central Catholic (0-1).

Up Next: Cathedral Prep (1-0) will travel to Erie (Pa.) High (1-0).

• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local

Last Week: Dirksen and Marion Local opened their season with a 35-7 victory over Dayton (Ohio) Chaminade-Julienne (0-1).

Up Next: Marion Local (1-) will travel to Hamler (Ohio) Patrick Henry (0-1).

• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township

Last Week: Jones caught three passes for 32 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-20 loss to Barrington (Ill.) High (1-0).

Up Next: Warren Township (0-1) will host Winnetka (Ill.) New Trier (1-0).

• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland

Last Week: In a nationally televised game on ESPN, Jurkovec was responsible for six touchdowns in a 41-0 home win over Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne (0-1). Jurkovec threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns, and added 106 yards and three scores on the ground.

Up Next: Pine-Richland (1-0) will be at home to face Pittsburgh Mt. Lebanon (1-0).

• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak

Last Week: Great Oak opened the season with a 42-0 loss to Romoland (Calif.) Heritage (1-0). Lamb had to leave the game with a knee injury and is awaiting MRI results.

Up Next: Great Oak (0-1) will travel to Riverside (Calif) King (0-0).

• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High

Last Week: Brentwood picked up a 42-21 win over Nashville (Tenn.) Cane Ridge (1-1).

Up Next: Brentwood (2-0) will host Dickson (Tenn.) Dickson County (0-2).

• LB Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison

Last Week: Oghoufo registered 11 tackles and two stops for loss plus added five receptions for 62 yards in a 33-8 loss to Grand Rapids (Mich.) East Grand Rapids (1-0).

Up Next: Harrison (0-1) will be on the road at Troy (Mich.) High (1-0).

• RB Jahmir Smith — Sanford (N.C.) Lee County

Last Week: Smith continued his hot start to the year, rushing for 151 yards and two touchdowns in a 45-0 win over Holly Springs (N.C.) High (0-2).

Up Next: Lee County (2-0) will be at home against Raleigh (N.C.) Wakefield (0-2).

• RB Markese Stepp — Indianapolis Cathedral

Last Week: Stepp rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in 38-35 loss to Detroit Martin Luther King (1-0).

Up Next: Cathedral (0-2) will be on the road versus Pickerington (Ohio) Central (0-1).

• TE George Takacs — Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast

Last Week: Takacs kicked off his senior season with a 27-2 win over Naples (Fla.) Lely (0-1).

Up Next: Gulf Coast (1-0) will host Hialeah (Fla.) High (1-0).


Class of 2019

• DT Jacob Lacey — Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren

Last Week: Lacey was a disruptive force in a 43-6 win over Bowling Green (Ky.) Warren Central (0-2), recording six total stops, five tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and one pass broken up in just more than a quarter of action before being pulled midway through the second quarter.

Up Next: South Warren (2-0) will be at home to face Franklin (Ky.) Franklin-Simpson (1-1).

• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch

Last Week: McNamara started off his junior season with a bang, completing 27 of 40 passes for 400 yards with four touchdowns while adding one score on the ground in a 46-16 win over Walnut Creek (Calif.) Northgate.

Up Next: Damonte Ranch (1-0) will travel to Fresno (Calif.) Edison (0-1).

Class of 2018

• DE Thomas Booker — Baltimore Gilman

Last Week: Booker and Gilman opened their season with a 38-0 loss to Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga (1-0).

Up Next: Gilman (0-1) will be on the road to face Olney (Md.) Good Counsel (0-1).

• CB Tariq Bracy — Milpitas (Calif.) High

Last Week: Bracy and Milpitas opened up 2017 with a 62-0 win over Fremont (Calif.) American (0-1).

Up Next: Milpitas (1-0) will travel to Dublin (Calif.) High (1-0).

• CB Donte Burton — Loganville (Ga.) High

Last Week: Burton and his teammates came up just short in a 24-14 loss to Monroe (Ga.) Monroe Area (1-0).

Up Next: Loganville (0-1) will be at home versus Cumming (Ga.) North Forsyth (1-1).

• S Julius Irvin — Anaheim (Calif.) Servite

Last Week: Irvin had three interceptions in Servite’s 35-21 win over Norco (Calif.) High (0-1).

Up Next: Servite (1-0) has a neutral site game with American Fork (Utah) High (1-1) at Mission Viejo (Calif.) High.

• WR Lawrence Keys — New Orleans McDonogh

Last Week: Keys had three receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown in McDonogh’s 22-0 win over New Orleans Elanor McMain.

Up Next: McDonogh (1-0) will be on the road at New Orleans St. Augustine (0-0).

• S D’Angelo McKenzie — San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian

Last Week: McKenzie had seven carries for 43 yards and touchdown, and two receptions for 22 yards. On defense, he recorded six tackles.

Up Next: Valley Christian (0-1) will host Santa Clara (Calif.) Wilcox (0-1).

• OT Chris Murray — Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.

Last Week: Nationally ranked Mater Dei won 31-7 over La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat (0-1).

Up Next: Mater Dei (1-0), ranked No. 1 by USA Today, will be host No. 4 Las Vegas Bishop Gorman (1-0).

• OT Nick Petit-Frere — Tampa Berkeley Prep

Last Week: Berkeley Prep fell 29-28 at home against Clearwater (Fla.) Central Catholic.

Up Next: Berkeley Prep (1-1) will host Auburndale (Fla.) Kingdom Prep (0-1).

• WR Geordon Porter — Etiwanda (Calif.) High

Last Week: Porter had four receptions for 72 yards and a 66-yard punt return touchdown in a 43-24 win over Fontana (Calif.) Summit (0-1).

Up Next: Etiwanda (1-0) will host Redlands (Calif.) Redlands East (0-0).

• OG Jamaree Salyer — Atlanta Pace Academy

Last Week: Pace fell 21-14 at home against Cumming (Ga.) West Forsyth (2-0).

Up Next: Pace (0-1) will host Atlanta Hapeville Charter (1-1).

• OG Sam Taimani — Salt Lake City East

Last Week: Taimani and East fell 48-17 at South Jordan (Utah) Bingham (2-0).

• TE Tommy Tremble — Norcross (Ga.) Wesleyan

Last Week: Unfortunately for Tremble, his season has come to an end after suffering an ankle injury in a 43-22 win over Atlanta BEST Academy (1-1).

Up Next: Wesleyan (2-0) will be at home to face St. Simons Island (Ga.) Fredercia Academy (2-1).

• CB Joe Wilkins Jr. — North Fort Myers (Fla.) High

Last Week: Wilkins had four catches for 66 yards and two touchdowns in a 40-0 win over Fort Myers (Fla.) Riverdale (0-1).

Up Next: North Fort Myers (1-0) has a neutral site game against Fort Myers (Fla.) High (1-0).
