Notre Dame Commit Tracker: Week Seven
The 2017 prep season continues to roll on for Notre Dame’s class of 2018 and 2019 commits. Read below to see how each player fared this past week on the field.
Class of 2018
• DT Jayson Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep
Last Week: Recorded 2.5 sacks in a 23-14 win over Paramus (N.J.) Catholic (2-3).
This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (3-1) will host Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic (3-1).
• DE Justin Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep
Last Week: Also had 2.5 sacks in the 23-14 victory over Paramus (N.J.) Catholic (2-3).
This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (3-1) will host Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic (3-1).
• S Derrik Allen — Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter
Last Week: Had a bye … For the year, has compiled approximately 50 tackles, three passes broken up, two interceptions and three receiving touchdowns.
This Week: Lassiter (4-1) will host Roswell (Ga.) High (1-4).
• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep
Last Week: Had a massive game Sept. 28, catching seven passes for 329 yards and five touchdowns — setting a school record for receiving yards and receiving scores in a game — in a 58-20 win over Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Somerset Academy … For the year, has compiled 550 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
This Week: North Broward (3-1) is at Miami La Salle.
• LB Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep
Last Week: Defeated Athol Springs (N.Y.) St. Francis (1-4) 48-0.
This Week: Cathedral Prep (6-0) versus Warren (Mich.) De La Salle Collegiate (5-1) at Wayne State University in Detroit.
• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local
Last Week: Notched a 32-7 win over Anna (Ohio) High (5-1).
This Week: Marion Local (6-0) is at New Bremen (Ohio) High (4-3).
• DT Ja’Mion Franklin — Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline
Last Week: Recorded a 48-12 win over Berlin (Md.) Decatur (2-3).
This Week: North Caroline (5-0) is at Easton (Md.) High (2-3).
• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township
Last Week: Caught four passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns in one half of action during a 48-7 blowout win over Mundelein (Ill.) High (2-4) … Has 37 catches for 556 yards and eight scores on the season.
This Week: Warren Township (4-2) will host Waukegan (Ill.) High (0-5).
• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland
Last Week: In just one half of action, completed 11 of 14 passes for 161 yards with one touchdown and an interception in a 47-17 victory over Pittsburgh Central Catholic (4-2) … Added 88 yards on 10 rushing attempts … For the season, has completed 100 of 135 passes (74.1 percent) for 1,631 yards with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions … Also has 39 carries for 312 yards and 12 scores.
This Week: Pine-Richland (6-0) will host McMurray (Pa.) Peters Township (5-1).
• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak
Last Week: Remains sidelined by a knee injury, and Great Oak fell 23-21 to San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) San Juan Hills (4-2).
This Week: Great Oak (2-3) is at Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral (4-1).
• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High
Last Week: Dominated Thompson Station (Tenn.) Independence (3-3) 42-14.
This Week: Brentwood (6-1) is at Nashville (Tenn.) Father Ryan (3-4).
• LB Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison
Last Week: Recorded three total tackles and one catch for 16 yards on offense in a 42-7 win over Rochester Hills (Mich.) High (2-5).
This Week: Harrison (4-2) will host Oak Park (Mich.) High (5-1).
• ROV Shayne Simon — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep
Last Week: Hauled in four catches for 137 yards in a 23-14 win over Paramus (N.J.) Catholic (2-3).
This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (3-1) will host Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic (3-1).
• RB Jahmir Smith — Sanford (N.C.) Lee County
Last Week: Scored three touchdowns while rushing for 229 yards on 19 to help Lee County cruise to a 56-0 win over Burlington (N.C.) Cummings (1-6).
This Week: Lee County (6-0) will host Angier (N.C.) Harnett Central (1-5).
• RB Markese Stepp — Indianapolis Cathedral
Last Week: Was held out due to an injury, but Cathedral picked up a 23-17 win over Ryle (Ky.) High.
This Week: Cathedral (3-4) is at Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward (6-0).
• TE George Takacs — Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast
Last Week: Caught three passes for 16 yards in a 23-17 triumph over Fort Myers (Fla.) Riverdale (1-3).
This Week: Gulf Coast (3-0) will host Naples (Fla.) Barron Collier (2-2).
Class of 2019
• DT Jacob Lacey — Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren
Last Week: Secured a 42-11 win over Bowling Green (Ky.) Greenwood (2-5).
This Week: South Warren (7-0) is at Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood (5-2).
• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch
Last Week: Completed 20 of 36 passes for 305 yards with six touchdowns in a 55-41 win over Redding (Calif.) Shasta … For the season, has connected on 106 of 192 throws for 1,703 yards with 23 touchdowns.
This Week: Damonte Ranch (6-0) has a bye.
