Plenty of Notre Dame’s commitments and top targets continued their 2017 prep seasons last week. Below you will find a recap of how each commit and top target performed in their respective games.

Last Week: Recorded five-plus tackles and a punt return of about 40 yards in a 37-14 victory over Marietta (Ga.) High (3-1).
This Week: Lassiter (4-0) hosts Cumming (Ga.) South Forsyth (4-0).
• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep
Last Week: Did not play due to Hurricane Irma.
This Week: North Broward (2-0) hosts West Palm Beach (Fla) King’s Academy (2-1).
• LB Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep
Last Week: Cathedral Prep fell behind 14-7 in the first quarter, but was able to eventually pull away for a 62-28 win over Cleveland Benedictine (3-1).
This Week: Cathedral Prep (4-0) hosts Edinboro (Pa.) General McLane (1-3).
• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local
Last Week: Registered a 21-7 win over Minster (Ohio) High (3-1).
This Week: Marion Local (4-0) is at Versailles (Ohio) High (1-3).
• DT Ja’Mion Franklin — Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline
Last Week: Recovered a fumble, per The Times-Record, in a 42-0 win over Cambridge (Md.) Cambridge-South Dorchester (0-3).
This Week: North Caroline (3-0) is at Centreville (Md.) Queen Anne’s County (2-1).
• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township
Last Week: Caught nine passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns, per The Daily Herald, in a 36-7 win over Lake Forest (Ill.) High (2-2).
This Week: Warren Township (3-1) hosts Lake Zurich (Ill.) High (4-0).
• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland
Last Week: Completed 16 of 25 passes for 176 yards with a touchdown pass, per The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, in a 43-6 victory over Pittsburgh Penn Hills (3-1) … Also had 41 yards and a score on the ground.
This Week: Pine-Richland (4-0) is at Bethel Park (Pa.) High (3-0).
• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak
Last Week: Remains sidelined by a knee injury, but Great Oak notched a 21-18 win over Phelan (Calif.) Serrano (0-4).
This Week: Great Oak (2-1) will host Upland (Calif) High (4-0).
• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High
Last Week: Lost 31-23 to crosstown rival Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood (4-1).

• LB Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison
Last Week: Took the opening kick 90 yards for a touchdown to spark Harrison to a 49-7 win over Birmingham (Mich.) Seaholm (1-3) … Made several tackles on defense and caught a touchdown pass on offense.
This Week: Harrison (3-1) is at Beverly Hills (Mich.) Groves (3-1).
• ROV Shayne Simon — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep
Last Week: Had a bye.

• RB Jahmir Smith— Sanford (N.C.) Lee County
Last Week: Returned to action after missing last week and put on a show, rushing for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-0 victory over Morehead City (N.C.) West Carteret (4-1).
This Week: Lee County (5-0) is off this week and will return to action Sept. 29 against Burlington (N.C.) Cummings.

Last Week: Sat out with an injury during Cathedral’s 31-7 loss to Cincinnati St. Xavier (4-0).

• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch
Last Week: Completed 23 of 42 passes for 365 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in 34-3 win over Sparks (Nev.) Spanish Springs (2-2).
