The 2017 high school football season is winding down and some of Notre Dame's commits continue to battle it out in their respective state playoffs vying for a championship while one has claimed a championship.

Take a look at how each Irish commit still playing and their team fared this past week in the playoffs.

• DT Jayson Ademilola— Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Fell 44-7 to Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic (10-2) in the Non-Public Group 4 championship game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (9-3) has completed its season. Ademilola recorded 56 total tackles including 16 for loss and eight sacks during his senior season.

• DE Justin Ademilola— Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Fell 44-7 to Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic (10-2) in the Non-Public Group 4 championship game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (9-3) has completed its season. Ademilola notched 42 total tackles including nine for loss and six sacks. Also caught a four-yard touchdown pass.

• S Derrik Allen — Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter

Lassiter (6-4) has completed its season … Finished the year with 54 tackles, three stops for loss, three interceptions and seven passes broken up in just seven games … Also hauled in 14 receptions for 196 yards and compiled a 32.0-yard average on 14 punts returns.

• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep

North Broward Prep (7-3) has completed its season … Finished the year with 35 receptions for 761 yards and 13 touchdowns.

• LB Matthew Bauer— Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep

Last Week: Recorded 14 total tackles in a 42-24 win over Reading (Pa.) Berks Catholic (13-1) in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania Class 4A playoffs. … Compiled 96 tackles, 18.5 stops for loss and nine sacks so far this season.

This Week: Cathedral Prep (13-0) faces Philadelphia Imhotep Charter (13-1) in the championship game of the Pennsylvania Class 4A playoffs. This will be the third-straight meeting in the state title between the two programs. Cathedral Prep won last year's meeting 27-20 while Imhotep Charter won 40-3 in 2015.

• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local

Last Week: Help Marion Local capture back-to-back state championships with a 34-11 win over Kirtland (Ohio) High (14-1) in the the Division VI state championship.

This Week: Marion Local (15-0) has completed its season.

• DT Ja’Mion Franklin — Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline

North Caroline (10-1) has completed its season.

• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township

Warren Township (8-4) has completed its season … Finished the year with 53 catches for 824 yards and 12 touchdowns.

• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland

Last Week: While batting the flu, Jurkovec completed 19 of 32 passes for 241 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a 28-7 win over Lancaster (Pa.) Manheim Township (13-2) in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania Class 6A state playoffs.. Added 105 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

For the season, has connected on 230 of 310 throws (74.2 percent) for 3,769 yards with 38 touchdowns and five interceptions … Also has 115 carries for 1,136 yards and 20 scores as a rusher.

This Week: Pine-Richland (15-0) faces Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep (13-0), the nation's No. 7 team per USA Today, in the championship game of the Pennsylvania Class 6A state playoffs.

• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak

Great Oak (5-6) has completed its season.

• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High

Brentwood (10-2) has completed its season.

• S Paul Moala — Mishawka (Ind.) Penn

Penn (13-2) has completed its season.

• LB Ovie Oghoufo— Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison

Harrison (11-4) has completed its season. Per his senior film, Oghoufo recorded 106 total tackles including 31 for loss, 11 sacks, five passes defended and one forced fumble. Also caught 32 passes for 529 yards. Had 921 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns.

• WR Geordon Porter— Etiwanda (Calif.) High

Etiwanda (3-8) has completed its season.

• ROV Shayne Simon — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Fell 44-7 to Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic (10-2) in the Non-Public Group 4 championship game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Simon caught six passes for 55 yards.

This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (9-3) has completed its season. Simon led the team in receiving yards (522), receptions (52) and receiving touchdowns (six). Had 53 total tackles including 14.0 for loss, two sacks and five interceptions.

• RB Jahmir Smith— Sanford (N.C.) Lee County

Lee County (12-1) has completed its season. Smith rushed for 1,728 yards and 27 touchdowns.

• TE George Takacs— Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast

Gulf Coast (4-3) has completed its season.

• CB Joseph Wilkins Jr.— North Fort Myers (Fla.) High

North Fort Myers (9-1) has completed its season.

Class of 2019

• DT Jacob Lacey — Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren

South Warren (11-3) has completed its season.

• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch

Damonte Ranch (11-1) has completed its season. McNamara finished the season 225-of-384 passing (58.6 percent) for 3,470 yards with 44 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
