Notre Dame Commit Tracker: Week 15

The 2017 high school football season is winding down and some of Notre Dame's commits continue to battle it out in their respective state playoffs vying for a championship.

Take a look at how each Irish commit still playing and their team fared this past week in the playoffs.

• DT Jayson Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Had a bye.

This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (9-2) faces Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic (9-2) in the Non-Public Group 4 championship game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. ... Bergen Catholic won the regular-season matchup 41-14.

• DE Justin Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Had a bye.

• S Derrik Allen — Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter

Lassiter (6-4) has completed its season … Finished the year with 54 tackles, three stops for loss, three interceptions and seven passes broken up in just seven games … Also hauled in 14 receptions for 196 yards and compiled a 32.0-yard average on 14 punts returns.

• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep

North Broward Prep (7-3) has completed its season … Finished the year with 35 receptions for 761 yards and 13 touchdowns.

• LB Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep

Last Week: Defeated Jefferson Hills (Pa.) Thomas Jefferson (11-2) 42-17 in the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania Class 4A playoffs. … Compiled 77 tackles, 17.5 stops for loss and eight sacks in the team’s first 11 games.

This Week: Cathedral Prep (12-0) faces Reading (Pa.) Berks Catholic (13-0) in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania Class 4A playoffs.

• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local

Last Week: Defeated Findlay (Ohio) Liberty-Benton (12-2) 31-13 in the semifinals of the Division VI playoffs.

This Week: Marion Local (14-0) faces Kirtland (Ohio) High (14-0) for the Division VI state championship.

• DT Ja’Mion Franklin — Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline

North Caroline (10-1) has completed its season.

• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township

Warren Township (8-4) has completed its season … Finished the year with 53 catches for 824 yards and 12 touchdowns.

• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland

Last Week: Completed 20-of-25 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-21 win over State College (Pa.) High (10-2) in the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania Class 6A state playoffs. Jurkovec added 123 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries as a rusher … For the season, has connected on 211 of 278 throws (75.9 percent) for 3,528 yards with 36 touchdowns and four interceptions … Also has 105 carries for 1,031 yards and 19 scores as a rusher.

This Week: Pine-Richland (14-0) faces Lancaster (Pa.) Manheim Township (13-1) in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania Class 6A state playoffs.

• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak

Great Oak (5-6) has completed its season.

• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High

Brentwood (10-2) has completed its season.

• S Paul Moala — Mishawka (Ind.) Penn

Last Week: Fell 63-14 to Indianapolis Ben Davis (14-0) for the Class 6A state title.

This Week: Penn (13-2) has completed its season.

• LB Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison

Last Week: Fell 28-10 to Muskegon (Mich.) High (15-0) in the Division III championship game.

This Week: Harrison (11-4) has completed its season.

• WR Geordon Porter — Etiwanda (Calif.) High

Etiwanda (3-8) has completed its season.

• ROV Shayne Simon — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep

Last Week: Had a bye.

• RB Jahmir Smith — Sanford (N.C.) Lee County

Lee County (12-1) has completed its season. Smith rushed for 1,728 yards and 27 touchdowns.

• RB Markese Stepp — Indianapolis Cathedral

Cathedral (7-6) has completed its season.

• TE George Takacs — Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast

Gulf Coast (4-3) has completed its season.

• CB Joseph Wilkins Jr. — North Fort Myers (Fla.) High

North Fort Myers (9-1) has completed its season.

Class of 2019

• DT Jacob Lacey — Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren

Last Week: Fell 43-7 to Park Hills (Ky.) Covington Catholic (14-0) in the semifinals of the Class 5A playoffs.

This Week: South Warren (11-3) has completed its season.

• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch

Damonte Ranch (11-1) has completed its season. McNamara finished the season 225-of-384 passing (58.6 percent) for 3,470 yards with 44 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
