It’s playoff season for high school football across the country and several of Notre Dame’s commits are trying to make a deep run.
Take a look at how each Irish pledge fared this past week on the gridiron.
• DT Jayson Ademilola — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep
Last Week: Recovered a fumble, which was forced by his brother Justin, in a 41-18 win over Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep (2-8) in the first round of the New Jersey Non-Public Group 4 playoffs.
This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (8-2) faces Paramus (N.J.) Catholic (5-5) in the semifinals … St. Peter’s won the regular season matchup 23-14.

Last Week: Forced a fumble in a 41-18 win over Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep (2-8) in the first round of the New Jersey Non-Public Group 4 playoffs.
This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (8-2) faces Paramus (N.J.) Catholic (5-5) in the semifinals … St. Peter’s won the regular season matchup 23-14.
• S Derrik Allen — Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter
Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter (6-4) has completed its season … His season came to end early when he suffered a broken hand … Finished the year with 54 tackles, three stops for loss, three interceptions and seven passes broken up in just seven games … Also hauled in 14 receptions for 196 yards and compiled a 32.0-yard average on 14 punts returns.
• WR Kevin Austin — Coconut Creek (Fla.) North Broward Prep
North Broward Prep (7-3) has completed its season.
• LB Matthew Bauer — Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep
Last Week: Shut out Pittsburgh University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy (4-7) in the subregional round of the Pennsylvania Class 4A playoffs, 56-0.
This Week: Cathedral Prep (11-0) has a bye this week and will return to action Nov. 24 in a Pennsylvania Class 4A quarterfinal matchup.
• OT John Dirksen — Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local
Last Week: Notched a 35-0 victory over Spencerville (Ohio) High (9-3) in the regional semifinals of the Ohio Division VI playoffs.
This Week: Marion Local (12-0) faces Coldwater (Ohio) High (9-3) in the regional final of the Ohio Division VI playoffs … Marion Local won the regular season matchup 13-7.
• DT Ja’Mion Franklin — Ridgely (Md.) North Caroline
Last Week: Fell 33-29 to Stevensville (Md.) Kent Island (8-2) in the first round of the Maryland Class 2A playoffs.
This Week: North Caroline (10-1) has completed its season.
• WR Micah Jones — Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township
Warren Township (8-4) has completed its season.
• QB Phil Jurkovec — Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland
Last Week: Completed 18 of 20 passes for 432 yards with five touchdowns in a 49-25 win over Wexford (Pa.) North Allegheny (8-4) in the semifinals of the WPIAL Class 6A playoffs … Added 107 yards on 12 carries on the ground … The 539 total yards of offense is the most in WPIAL playoff history … For the season, he has connected on 175 of 230 passes (76.1 percent) for 3,003 yards with 30 touchdowns and four interceptions … Also has 84 carries for 805 yards and 16 scores.
This Week: Pine-Richland (12-0) faces Pittsburgh Central Catholic (10-2) in the WPIAL 6A championship … Pine-Richland won the regular season matchup 47-17.
• LB Jack Lamb — Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak
Last Week: Lost 52-23 to Valencia (Calif.) High (10-0) in the first round of the CIF Souther Section Division 2 playoffs.
This Week: Great Oak (5-6) has completed its season.
• OT Cole Mabry — Brentwood (Tenn.) High
Last Week: Fell 28-13 to Nashville (Tenn.) Cane Ridge (11-1) in the second round of the Tennessee Division I Class 6A playoffs.
This Week: Brentwood (10-2) has completed its season.
• S Paul Moala — Mishawka (Ind.) Penn
Last Week: Defeated Crown Point (Ind.) High (7-5) in the regional championship round of the Indiana Class 6A playoffs.
This Week: Penn (11-1) faces Carmel (Ind.) High (8-4) in the semifinals of the Indiana Class 6A playoffs.
• LB Ovie Oghoufo — Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison
Last Week: Defeated Linden (Mich.) High (8-4) 34-21 in the regional finals of the Michigan Division III playoffs.
This Week: Harrison (9-3) faces Riverview (Mich.) High (11-1) in the semifinals of the Michigan Division III playoffs.
• WR Geordon Porter — Etiwanda (Calif.) High
Last Week: Suffered a 47-14 defeat to Downey (Calif.) High (9-2) in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 playoffs.
This Week: Etiwanda (3-8) has completed its season.
• ROV Shayne Simon — Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep
Last Week: Caught eight passes for 87 yards, per NJ.com, and threw a 17-yard touchdown pass in a 41-18 win over Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep (2-8) in the first round of the New Jersey Non-Public Group 4 playoffs.
This Week: St. Peter’s Prep (8-2) faces Paramus (N.J.) Catholic (5-5) in the semifinals of the New Jersey Non-Public Group 4 playoffs … St. Peter’s won the regular season matchup 23-14.

• RB Markese Stepp — Indianapolis Cathedral
Last Week: Had six carries for 30 yards and a touchdown in limited action due to hamstring issues … Cathedral defeated Bloomington (Ind.) South (7-6) 35-21 in the quarterfinals of the Indiana Class 5A playoffs.
This Week: Cathedral (7-5) will host Columbus (Ind.) Columbus East (12-1) in the semifinals of the Indiana Class 5A playoffs.
• TE George Takacs — Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast
Gulf Coast (4-3) has completed its season.
• CB Joseph Wilkins Jr. — North Fort Myers (Fla.) High
Last Week: Had six receptions for 66 yards in a 37-13 win over Clearwater (Fla.) High (6-6) in the first round of the Florida Class 6A playoffs.
This Week: North Fort Myers (9-0) will Fort Myers (Fla.) High (7-3) in the second round of the Florida Class 6A playoffs.

• DT Jacob Lacey — Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren
Last Week: Recorded a 24-6 win over Hopkinsville (Ky.) Christian County (11-1) in the second round of the Kentucky Class 5A playoffs.
This Week: South Warren (10-2) faces Bowling Green (Ky.) High (10-2) in the quarterfinals of the Kentucky Class 5A playoffs … Bowling Green High won the regular season matchup 43-7.
• QB Cade McNamara — Reno (Nev.) Damonte Ranch
Last Week: Completed 15 of 23 passes for 241 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in a 52-13 win over Reno (Nev.) McQueen (4-6) in the quarterfinals of the Nevada Class 4A Northern Region playoffs.
This Week: Damonte Ranch (11-0) faces Sparks (Nev.) Reed (9-2) in the second round of the Nevada Class 4A Northern Region playoffs.
