Notre Dame Commit Kevin Bauman To Play In Polynesian Bowl

Notre Dame commit Kevin Bauman is going to Hawaii.

The four-star tight end from Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic committed to the Polynesian Bowl on Wednesday afternoon.

Bauman is one of four Notre Dame verbal pledges set to compete in the game. He joins four-star running back Chris Tyree, four-star drop end Jordan Botelho and four-star offensive lineman Michael Carmody.

Bauman has been committed to Notre Dame since June of 2018. He picked the Irish over offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and several other major programs.

The Polynesian Bowl is held annually in Hawaii during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week and features some of the best recruits in the country.

Several NFL players are involved in the game’s festivities, including former Notre Dame offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley.

At 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, Bauman is ranked as the No. 4 tight end and No. 121 overall recruit in the nation, per Rivals.com.

Notre Dame currently holds 17 commits in its 2020 recruiting class, which is ranked ninth nationally.
