Edina (Minn.) High 2019 offensive tackle Quinn Carroll became the top-ranked player in Notre Dame's class on May 1 when he committed to the Irish over his other finalists of Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder also held offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA, USC and many others.
Notre Dame was considered one of the favorites for the Rivals100 prospect after he earned an offer in May of 2017. Carroll then returned to South Bend three times before his decision including the USC game last fall, this past February and his April official.
Carroll has been 100 percent in his commitment since the announcement and put on his recruiting hat helping pitch fellow offensive lineman Zeke Correll before he joined the class.
