Harangody to reveal future Thursday
Luke Harangody sat through Notre Dame's three-hour basketball banquet on Wednesday night and listened to four seniors deliver their farewell addresses.

A day later the former Big East Player of the Year may offer his own. After weeks of indecision, Harangody will announce his plans during a 4:15 p.m. press conference at the Joyce Center on Thursday afternoon.
"It's definitely a tough decision," Harangody said. "Even being here tonight, you think about all the great memories I've had with these guys. It's also a good situation to be in too. I think any decision I make is going to be a good one."
It appears Harangody will enter his name in the NBA Draft but not hire an agent, therefore maintaining his eligibility should he opt to return for his senior season. The deadline to withdraw from the draft process is June 15. The NBA Draft will be held 10 days later at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Head coach Mike Brey hinted that Harangody's decision would lead to a "two-month project" but refrained from going in depth about that process. Former Irish players Chris Thomas and Torin Francis both entered the draft process early before returning to school. Thomas tested the waters after his sophomore year and Francis explored his options after his junior season.
"We'll talk to you tomorrow about how we're going to attack the next two months," Brey said. "Basically it's a two month project taking you up to June 15th."
Harangody said he's already made his decision but added that he's wrestled with a desire to finish off his Notre Dame career next season and an interest to take his basketball career to the next level.
"There's definitely a lot of huge reasons on each side of it, especially to come back here," he said. "To play my senior year and lead the team and lead Notre Dame back to the NCAA Tournament, that's a big selling point."
The biggest headache in the process may have been getting too much advice.
"There's so many people giving you feedback and input, you don't really know who to trust right now," he said. "Coach Brey has been great about the whole situation, he's a person I really trust. My parents have been there the whole time, just to soak everything in."
Harangody was named the team's MVP during the banquet after leading the Irish in scoring and rebounding at 23.3 points and 11.8 boards per game last season. Those marks ranked him first and second, respectively, in the Big East.
