In a span of less than a month, Micah Gilbert plans to trim his list of top seven schools to a college decision.
The four-star wide receiver from Charlotte (N.C.) Christian will announce his commitment on May 2, he shared on social media Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Gilbert named a top seven on April 8. That list included Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Duke and Pittsburgh. Gilbert has visited all of those schools since the start of the year.

Notre Dame became the latest school to host Gilbert this past weekend for the program's Blue-Gold Game. Gilbert was in South Bend at the same time as Charlotte Christian teammate Bryce Young, a 2024 defensive end target of the Irish and son of former Notre Dame All-America defensive lineman Bryant Young. Gilbert and Young both visited Michigan this spring as well.
Rivals ranks Gilbert as the No. 40 wide receiver in the 2024 class. He totaled 40 receptions for 534 yards and three touchdowns as a junior for Charlotte Christian.
