Former Notre Dame running back Greg Bryant has reportedly died after he was shot while in a car on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach, Fla., early Saturday morning.

Bryant, who played two seasons at Notre Dame before transferring to junior college ASA Miami following a suspension last summer, planned on continuing his collegiate career at UAB after announcing a transfer there in November.

The former five-star running back, according to Rivals.com, rushed for 303 yards in his Irish career but struggled to move past classmate Tarean Folston and Cam McDaniel on the depth chart.
