Any parent would be thrilled to send a child to a place like Notre Dame, but sending two there is doubly impressive.

This summer, that is exactly what Ade Ademilola will do when his sons Jayson and Justin arrive in South Bend to begin their Notre Dame football careers.

The elder Ademilola just finished watching Jayson participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and said getting a spot on the roster shows how much work his son has put in over the years.

“It’s really exciting,” he said. “For me, it’s a compilation of all the work. This is just another confirmation of the work he’s putting out.”

Jayson’s twin brother Justin agreed with their father.

“He came out here and dominated,” he said. “He did his thing and proved that he’s the best defensive tackle in the country.”

With high school football behind them, the Ademilolas are in preparation mode for Notre Dame, and their father said he expects them to continue working just as hard as they have been throughout their entire football careers.

“They’re level headed kids,” the elder Ademilola said. “They know what it is, and I’m confident that they’ll work hard to make a big impression next year.”

For a parent, seeing that hard work be rewarded with a full-ride scholarship to Notre Dame, is incomparable.

“I’m very proud of everything they’ve done,” Ademilola said. “They’ve really worked hard from then they were little.”

Work was the theme of Ademilola’s thoughts on the futures of Justin and Jayson. According to him, both have been working since they first put on a football helmet to get where they’ll be in just a few short months.

“They deserve everything they’ve got,” he said. “Nobody gave them anything, it’s a result of their hard work.”
