On Thursday night, Notre Dame could add another important piece to its defensive class of 2018.

At 10:00 p.m. eastern time, Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy four-star cornerback Kyler Gordon will announce his decision between Notre Dame and Washington.

In the last two weeks, Gordon has taken two visits, first to Notre Dame for an unofficial visit over the Echoes weekend, then to Washington for an official visit the following weekend.

Other programs like USC and Stanford attempted to enter the mix, but Notre Dame and Washington were the most consistent all the way through Gordon's recruitment process.

The Irish offered Gordon back on Feb. 23, and have treated him like a priority ever since. Gordon took an official visit to Notre Dame for the Temple game on Sept. 2, but Notre Dame didn't seem like a realistic option at that point.

However, Gordon and his mother had an eye-opening experience in South Bend, and after seeing everything Notre Dame had to offer, the Irish were squarely in the mix.

Notre Dame went in-home with Gordon as soon as the regular season ended, and got him back on campus for the Echoes on Dec. 8.

The Irish coaching staff has made a huge push for Gordon, but the hometown Huskies may have the momentum heading into the day of the decision.

The Huskies may very well be the pick, but Notre Dame has made it very hard for Gordon to say no to the opportunity to spend his college days in South Bend.

We'll know for sure where Gordon is headed tonight at 10:00 p.m.
