Thursday was the first open practice of 2017 edition of Nike Football's The Opening Finals.

BGI was on the scene to watch the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends practice, and posted several content items following practice, all of which are linked below.

Notre Dame tight end commit George Takacs was the lone Irish pledge to work out Thursday, and took several reps during the two hour practice.

Check out highlights of Takacs in the video below.

Following practice, Takacs spoke to BGI about his decision to commit to Notre Dame, the bond with his fellow commits and what his goals are for the week.

See what Takacs had to say in the video below.

Several Notre Dame targets were on hand for practice, including four-star wide receivers Chase Cota and Kevin Austin, four-star tight end Jeremy Ruckert and five-star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

You can see highlights of each of them in the video below.

Austin spoke with BGI after practice and talked about his top four schools and gave a timeline for a commitment. Check out the full interview in the video below.

St. Brown also spoke with BGI after practice and talked about his relationship with the Irish coaching staff, his plans for an official visit to South Bend, and what he hopes to accomplish during his stay in South Bend.

You can watch the full interview with St. Brown in the video below.

Cota, who visited Notre Dame on April 22 for the Blue-Gold Game, recently included the Irish in his top seven along with UCLA, Cal, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and USC.

He explains what put Notre Dame in that group in the video below.

Following practice, BGI recruiting reporters David McKinney and Corey Bodden hosted a recruiting chat on the message board, which you can get caught up on HERE.

McKinney and Bodden also recorded a wrap-up podcast, which you can listen to below.
