Notre Dame landed it’s 11th commitment in the class of 2018 when Portland (Ore.) Tigard four-star athlete Braden Lenzy announced for the Irish on Wednesday night. Rivals rates Lenzy, who the Irish are recruiting to play at wide receiver, as the No. 21 athlete and No. 238 overall player in the class of 2018.
Blue and Gold Illustrated brought you extensive coverage of Lenzy’s decision.
Below, you can find every story the BGI staff put out in regards to Lenzy’s commitment.
First, our commit story, where Lenzy talks about his decision to pledge to the Irish. You can read that HERE.
BGI football analyst Bryan Driskell went in the film room to gave an in-depth look at what Notre Dame is getting in Lenzy on the field. Driskell said Lenzy can excel on either side of the ball, but he’s a difference maker with the ball in his hands. Check out the film evaluation HERE.
Driskell also took a look at what impact Lenzy’s decision will have on the 2018 class, and what receivers the Irish will be shifting their focus to going forward. You can read that analysis HERE.
Craig Ruecker, Lenzy’s head coach at Tigard, said the new Notre Dame commit will fit well in South Bend, off the field and on it. Read why he thinks so HERE.
BGI also caught up with Lenzy’s father, Melvin, who described what a joy it’s been for him to watch his son go through this process and land at Notre Dame. Read what he had to say HERE.
