Notre Dame finally got on the board in the secondary for the 2020 class with the announcement that Middletown (N.J.) Mater Dei cornerback Clarence Lewis has committed to Notre Dame.
Lewis visited Notre Dame this past weekend and mentioned taking more visits, but he has decided to shut things down and pledge to the Irish.
The 6-0, 180-pound athlete stands out on both sides of the ball for Mater Dei. Notre Dame offered him in early May, and Lewis also earned offers from Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Boston College, NC State, West Virginia, Duke, Kentucky, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Purdue and Rutgers.
A look at what the commitment of Lewis means for Notre Dame’s 2020 class.
