Notre Dame has landed a signing day commitment from three-star Mission Viejo (Calif.) High offensive tackle Jarrett Patterson.
Patterson, the No. 29 offensive tackle in the class of 2018, chose Notre Dame fellow finalist UCLA.
Originally committed to Arizona State, Patterson opened up things up in December and had narrowed his list to UCLA and Michigan before Notre Dame offered on Jan. 9.
Patterson headed to South Bend for an official visit 10 days later and replaced Michigan with the Irish in his final two soon after.
With Patterson's commitment Notre Dame now has four offensive linemen in the class along with Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Academy three-star Luke Jones, Brentwood (Tenn.) High three-star Cole Mabry and Maria Stein (Ohio) Marion Local three-star John Dirksen.
During his senior season at Mission Viejo, Patterson anchored an offensive line that led the Diablos to an average of 340 yards and 39 points per game.
Following the season, Patterson was named to CaliHiSports.com All-California First Team and The USA Today’s All-California second team.
