Coming off their first ACC road series win in program history at Clemson, Notre Dame continued their winning ways this week with an 8-3 home victory over Central Michigan on Wednesday.

But a challenging home series looms this weekend with nationally ranked Louisville visiting the Irish.

The Cardinals have won 10 of their last 12 games overall, and are coming off a sweep of Boston College last weekend. They're tied for first with Florida State in the Atlantic Division, while Notre Dame is tied for third with Wake Forest.

Senior infielder Sutton Whiting, freshman shortstop Devin Hairston, and junior Brendan McKay are among some of the Cardinal players to watch.

Whiting leads Louisville in hitting percentage at .416, and on-base percentage at .541.

Hairston has batted in 19 runs to lead the Cardinals this year, including at least one run in 11 of his 15 starts this year.

McKay is 3-0 with four saves and hasn't allowed a run in 19 innings pitched. He's also hitting .362 at the plate.

For the Irish, sophomore second baseman Cavan Biggio is hitting .394, scoring 22 runs and batting in 12 more.

Freshman pitcher Brad Bass has only allowed 3 hits in 9-2/3 innings of relief, and holds a 1.86 ERA.
